After the success from winning the West Suffolk BE Wednesday Triples League last year, we have decided to join the Ipswich Wednesday Triples League. We will be starting from Division 3 however, we look forward with the challenge of moving up the leagues to get where we want to be.
We will be opening the green for the first delivered woods of 2026 on Wednesday 15th April. Everyone welcome to come along to experience the game of bowls. A lot of hard work has been carried out over the winter to get us to this point.
We are well underway with our ditch replacement project where we have installed new surrounding ditch. This will bring our ditches back to the legal requirement for play and reduce the amount of maintenance required. We completed the perfect season in the Bury & District League Division 1 for 2025. A unbeaten season winning all 18 games in the league for a record points haul. Never did we think that we could go all the way undefeated. We also clinched the Bullen Cup which is the Charity Cup for Area D, Raising money for good causes.
We at Stanton Bowls club will be hosting our annual 3 wood triples competition with all proceeds going to Charity. This year we have decided to give all monies raised to the family of Delilah. She is a 3 year old granddaughter of one of our players who has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma which is a rare cancer affecting children under 5. A tumour was found which it has now spread to legs causing difficulties in walking. She has gone under blast chemo to try to get on top of it.
